Crystal Spirits Distillery, of Dayton, Ohio, a new entry in the spirits industry, is introducing a new small batch ultra premium Buckeye Vodka to the United States marketplace.

            In order to create a distinctive looking package commensurate with its fine traditional taste and extremely smooth finish, it engaged the services and global resources of Saxco International, of Horsham, PA, world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits industry.  �Our responsibility was to be innovative and help create a new package which would feature a handsome and engaging eye appeal with a prominent shelf appearance while adhering to time and budgetary parameters,� states Jimmy Owens, new product representative for Saxco International.  �We needed to bring all the components together at the right places and at the right times.�

            With those objectives in mind, Saxco sourced and supplied a 750 ML flint Bordeaux-shaped bottle with a flat bottom from Owens Illinois-Europe, one of the quality and reliable vendors in its worldwide resource network.  The bottle was then spray frosted and silk screened with three-color red, white and blue labeling on the front and back.  The frosting and silk screening was completed by Hanes Erie, of Fairview, PA another excellent Saxco source.  Owens explains that the silk screen displaying Buckeye�s bold classic red floral design went through several evolutions of refinement in order to achieve its ultimate look and feel.

            In addition, Saxco supplied a Stelcap with an extended dark blue skirt which added an enhanced look to the overall package design.  The closure was supplied through Amcor, of St. Cesaire, Canada, also a Saxco vendor.

            According to Jim Finke, president of Crystal Spirits Distillery, �The new multiple-distilled ultra premium Buckeye Vodka is being targeted for all males and females over the legal drinking age.�  He additionally announced that Buckeye Vodka will first be introduced in the Ohio marketplace before being rolled out to surrounding states.  Retail price for the 750 ML size is $19.95.
