Seeking to create a new and packageinnovative  design for the launch of its latest spirits entries, it engaged the services and international resources of Saxco International, LLC, of  Horsham, PA, long renowned for excellence in packaging for the wine and spirits industries. �Our challenge was to help craft a unique and sharp package design with a catchy eye appeal and flashy shelf appearance while maintaining control over budgetary and time requirements,� states Jerry Maya, regional sales manager for Saxco International.

            To get its part of the project underway, Saxco sourced and supplied a private mold 750 ML extra flint bottle with a hammered affect and an embossed cartouche of a Florida palm tree on the base of the neck for the Old Reserve Rum package. The bottle displaying a long neck and push-up bottom was sourced from a reliable Asian glass manufacturer which is a part of Saxco�s vast global resource network. The same private mold bottle was sourced for the Old Reserve Orange Liqueur and a beautiful frosted appearance was added later by acid etching the bottles.

            Florida Caribbean Distillers provided their own four color labels for both spirits, as well as the natural wood synthetic cork closures. The wood top for the Old Reserve Rum had a natural wood finish color, while the one featured on the Old Reserve Orange Liqueur bottle followed through with an orange stain. The Old Reserve Rum label depicted a classic Florida wildlife scene and the Old Reserve Orange Liqueur portrayed a scene from the Sunshine State�s famous orange groves.

            According to Dave Steiner, national sales manager for Florida Caribbean Distillers brands, �The new super premium Old Reserve Rum is distilled, aged and crafted in Florida from local molasses and pure fresh water drawn from deep within the Florida aquifer.
