OAKLAND, CA (January 7, 2013) David Schwandt has been promoted to vice president of the wine category for Saxco International, it was announced here today by Rich Bouwer, general manager of the Saxco International West Coast group of companies. He moves up from his position as director of sales and marketing.

            Schwandt has been employed by Saxco International since 2001. He will be directly responsible for the overall management, sales, marketing and profitability of the wine category for Saxco International. On the West Coast, Saxco International companies include California Glass, Demptos Glass and Saxco Pacific Coast.

            Prior to joining Saxco International, Schwandt was employed as an account manager for Owens-Illinois. Before that, he served in business development for Anchor Glass.
