HORSHAM , PA (January 21, 2013) Matthew Malenfant has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of  Saxco International, LLC, it was announced here today by John Hawkins, Chairman of the Saxco Board of Directors. Malenfant will be directly responsible for all Saxco companies and divisions servicing the wine, beer, spirits and food industries.

            �Matt brings a great deal of distribution experience including sales, marketing and supplier management to Saxco,� Hawkins said. �In his former role as President of VWR Americas, he led a large, complex organization helping it to grow by providing innovative solutions for customers and suppliers. In his time at Saxco, Matt demonstrated the skills that made him successful at VWR Americas. And while we will greatly miss the leadership of our retiring CEO Keith L. Sachs, we are confident that Matt will lead Saxco to continued success in the years to come.�

            Prior to joining Saxco International, Malenfant was employed in various executive capacities for VWR International, LLC, a global laboratory and production supply distributor with worldwide sales in excess of $4 billion headquartered in Radnor, PA. During his tenure there he held positions as President, Americas Lab Business, Senior Vice President Global Marketing, Sourcing and Services, Senior Vice President for North America Marketing and Specialty Business and Senior Vice President of Sales-Eastern Zone.

            Malenfant began his career at American Hospital Supply, the predecessor to Baxter Healthcare Corp., where he last served as Midwest Vice President, Industrial & Life Science Division. Baxter Healthcare is a $10 billion global business comprised of biomedical, drug delivery and medical products manufacturing.

            He receive a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ and also holds a bachelor of science degree in broadcasting and communications from the same university. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Center For Services Leadership at the Arizona State University W.P. Carey School of Business.

            He and his wife, Terri, have three children and reside in Wayne, PA.
