When William Grant & Son of Edison, N. J., began its search for a
new distinctive bottle for its limited edition super premium Hendricks
Gin, it was seeking something that would identify with a bygone era.
To help design, source and supply a unique 750ml bottle for its small
batch, botanical gin, it called upon the experience and expertise of Saxco
International, Horsham, Pa., world-wide packaging specialists for the wine
and spirits industry.
"Saxco not only played an integral role in sourcing the private
mold amber bottle but contributed significantly to the design phase as
well," states Keith L. Sachs, chairman of Saxco International.
"Were proud of the work we accomplished on behalf of William Grant
& Son and are certain that our role assisted them in the successful
U.S. introduction of this spirit."
The square-shaped bottle, which also displays a Hendricks cartouche
on both shoulders, was sourced from Lewis & Towers of Edenbridge,
Kent, England. Delivery was made to the William Grant facility in
Bellskill, Scotland, for bottling.
We challenged Saxco to furnish something resembling an old-time
apothecary bottle, and they came through for us," states William
Grant & Son Logistics Manager Scott Niemiec. "We couldnt be
more pleased with the bottle."
Niemiec also explains that the company has tabbed the new Hendricks
Gin as "botanical" because its private recipe offers up a
distinctive combination of ingredients accentuated by touches of juniper,
coriander, citrus peels, cucumber and rose petals.
