Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide is introducing the third in its series
of special bottlings commemorating the seven gold metals its Jack Daniels
Tennessee Whiskey has won over its 134-year-old history.
This third special decanter commemorates the gold medal the brand won
at the World Exposition in Ghent, Belgium, in 1913.
To complete its introduction in Europe this holiday season,
Brown-Forman called upon Saxco International, Horsham, PA, to assist with
all-important packaging aspects of the product. Saxco International
supplied a liter square flint bottle with flutes through Consumers Glass
of Montreal, Canada. The bottle was then silk screened with a decorative
white and gold ceramic label by Serigraphie of Montreal.
Also, Saxco provided a reproduction of the actual gold medal which was
gold plated and antiqued for added authenticity. The medal was then
applied to the bottle. The unique package was finished off with an
attractive octagon-shaped gold plastic cork stopped which was supplied
through long-time Saxco supplier J.C. Ribeiro of Portugal.
"The new 1913 Jack Daniels decanter will be introduced in four
European countries in time for the holidays," states Jim Murphy, vice
president global marketing director for the Jack Daniels brand.
Included will be France, Spain, Germany and Andorra.
