INTERNATIONAL ASSISTS 3 VODKA DISTILLING CO. WITH DISTINCTIVE PACKAGING FOR
NEW 3 VODKA BRAND
3 Vodka Distilling Co., a division of Sovereign Brands LLC of Chicago,
has introduced a new breakthrough brand of vodka called "3" which
elevates the spirit to the next realm of smoothness.
To assure a distinctive and unique package design for its new
super-premium 3 vodka brand, it enlisted the help of Saxco International
Inc. of Horsham, Pa., world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and
spirits industry. "Our challenge was to source and supply a bottle and
cap which would augment the distinct quality image of the product,"
states Keith L. Sachs, Saxco chairman.
Whereas most vodkas are the product of a country�s primary crop,
usually corn or wheat in the United States or potatoes in Eastern Europe and
Russia, 3 vodka�s taste is enhanced by a unique ingredient, soy isolates.
"The distillation of soy isolates into the vodka is the end result of
an intensive three-year research process," states Brian Berish,
managing partner of 3 Vodka Distilling Co. "We wanted to create a vodka
that broke out of the existing category of vodka. We explored many other
possibilities for improving smoothness before discovering soy."
To help create the distinctive, upscale appearance required for 3 vodka�s
introduction, Saxco sourced and supplied a quality 750ml flint
cylinder-style bottle from Vetri Speciali of Italy.
In addition, it supplied a unique contour-shaped black closure from
Walsen International of Ronkonkoma, N. Y., a Saxco vendor.
The design for the silk-screened labels for the front and back of the
bottle were provided by Wencel/Hess, 3 vodka�s packaging and promotional
design agency in Chicago. 3 Vodka Distilling Co. was responsible for their
applications. The front displays a bold crimson "3," while the
back showcases product descriptions in a black type.
3 vodka is available in the 750ml size for approximately $24.99,
positioning it competitively with other super-premium vodkas. According to
Berish, the national roll-out began in Illinois and Florida and will
continue in select markets in the United States.
