To help with the U. S. introduction of its premium Croc Vodka,
importers Schieffelen & Somerset of New York City hired the Ventura
Group, Inc. of Bohemia, N.Y., to assist with design and production of a 3-L
display bottle for the unique spirits which are distilled from fine French
grapes.
To locate and produce the major elements required to bring this project
to fruition, Ventura enlisted the services of Saxco International, Inc. of
Horsham, PA, world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits
industry.
Saxco would ultimately be responsible for production of the high-quality
cosmetic flint glass bottle, a silver aluminum cap, a silver PVC sleeve over
fitting the cap, and the fired-on applied color labeling on the front of the
tower-shaped display bottle.
The bottles were supplied through Stolzle-Oberglas of Austria, a
long-time Saxco vendor, who also handled the fired-on black-and-red front
labeling which included an embossed painted circular medallion and Croc
logo.
The silver aluminum cap was supplied by McCurdy Design of Montreal,
Canada, while the matching PVC sleeve came from Magnum Agencies of Paris,
France. Both also are Saxco vendors.
According to Vince Manno, senior account executive for the Ventura Group,
the large, high-quality bottles for the five-times distilled vodka will be
utilized during the U.S. roll-out for point of purchase displays in upscale
retail outlets, as well as for exposure in the fine white-tablecloth
restaurants.
"Our experience and expertise allowed us to play a significant role
in achieving the requirements of this unique project," states Keith L.
Sachs, chairman of Saxco International. "We are proud of the overall
result."
