As part of a holiday promotion, McCormick Distilling Co.
of Weston, Mo., will be offering a special gift package featuring an
attractive black ceramic coffee mug with its popular Tequila Rose strawberry
cream and tequila drink. To help match and complement the quality black glass of the 750-mL
Tequila Rose bottle, the company brought in Saxco International Inc. of
Horsham, Pa., worldwide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits
industry. �The challenge was to find a source who could not only
match the ceramic mug to the bottle�s glass, but who also could fire on
the beautiful full-color graphic depicting a cityscape with a strawberry
theme,� states Keith L. Sachs, chairman of Saxco International. Saxco ultimately searched the world to pinpoint a vendor in China who
would fulfill the requirements within the proper time frame and cost
parameters. The Far Eastern vendor supplied the ceramic mugs and fired
on the color decal. McCormick was responsible for the gift packages
and their assembly. �This is part of our special annual holiday promotions program, and we are looking forward to a most successful roll out nationally,� says Jim Zargo, chief operating officer for McCormick.
