FOR FURTHER MEDIA INFORMATION: Stu Coren, Rosen-Coren Agency, (215) 938-1017 ![]() La Maison Dlan is
introducing Pravda, a new four-time distilled vodka from a late harvest rye,
in select major U.S. markets, from New York to Los Angeles. To assist the
Philadelphia importer with the all-important packaging aspect for this newly
introduced product, the company engaged the services of Saxco International
Inc. of Horsham, Pa., world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and
spirits industry. This vodka is
kosher and is being distilled from an actual recipe dating back to Polish
nobility in the mid-1700s, states John Cooper, director of marketing for
La Maison Dlan. The original
recipe utilized pristine ice water from a spring in the Eastern Carpathian
Mountains in southern Poland. We
are targeting this to a younger audience who wants to try something unique
and better. To meet the
packaging requirements, Saxco sourced and supplied a 750mL flint glass
bottle from Stolzle-Oberglas of Austria.
Saxco also arranged for the bottle to be silk screened by Saga Decor
of France which gave it its distinctive crackled appearance. The packaging
specialty firm also supplied a silver metallic plastic top and cork assembly
from J.C. Ribeiro of Portugal, a long-time vendor.
Blackburn Design of London handled the art for the labels and center
shell, which was designed to house two three-pack cartons.
Saxco supplied the cartons through Interstate Container, Reading, Pa. The bottles
appearance was further augmented by a purple strip seal on top plus a round
metallic purple-blue medallion at the base of its neck and a purple crystal
jewel on its shoulder. In addition, La
Maison Dlan challenged Saxco International to provide a 3-liter display
bottle for on-premise marketing. This
promotional bottle also was sourced from Stolzle-Oberglas and was decorated
by Quest of Hillside, N.J. This was a
most challenging project that ultimately allowed us to employ a broad swath
of our experience, technical know-how and industry sources in achieving the
desired results, states Herbert L. Sachs, president of Saxco
International. La Maison Dlan will introduce Pravda Vodka in select major U.S. markets, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Saxco International has more than 25 years of industry experience, providing a broad range of packaging products and services to the liquor and wine industries.
