In an effort to upgrade and enliven its premium Black Duck Cranberry Liqueur, Paramount Distillers Inc. of Cleveland , Ohio , is introducing a new ultra-premium package for its popular spirit.

To assist with the overall packaging enhancement, they once again called upon Saxco International Inc. of Horsham , Pa. , worldwide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits industry.

Saxco International supplied a sophisticated and stylish 750-mL bottle from Saverglass of France, a Saxco vendor.  Saverglass also silk screened the attractive, printed label designed at Paramount by in-house Art Director Dale Liles.  The face label is highlighted by a gold metallic border and displays a sketch of a black duck on the back of the bottle which is visible through the liquid.

Saxco also supplied a bar top cork from J.C. Ribeiro of Portugal, a long-time vendor, as well as a black, heat-shrink sleeve with a gold band which was completed by Belgium Bottle Cap of Holland through Saxco.

Six-bottle, printed cartons with dividers were obtained through Interstate Container, another Saxco vendor, which is located in Pennsylvania .  The completed bottles were shipped in bulk to Pre-Deco in Bardstown , Ky. , for repackaging to finish the project.

Black Duck Cranberry Liqueur is a unique premium-quality liqueur with fresh, tart, natural cranberry flavor created from the essence of fresh Cape Cod cranberries and is 25 proof (12.5% acl./vol.).  �It is wonderful for martinis, cosmos and other mixed beverages, as well as cooking such as in glazes for ham or turkey,� states Lynn Lubin of Paramount Distillers.  Black Duck Cranberry Liqueur is named for one of the smartest species of ducks that like to make their home near the salt marshes of Cape Cod .
