Helder Teles has been promoted to general manager of Saxco Canada Co., a Saxco International Inc. subsidiary, it was announced by Herbert L. Sachs, president of Saxco International Inc.

Teles, who moves up from his position of director of sales and marketing, will be directly responsible for the overall day-to-day management and operations for the major supplier of specialty bottles, serving wineries throughout Canada and the United States .  The firm also provides packaging enhancement products as well as expert consultation, from development to design.

Prior to being appointed at Saxco Canada , he was employed as purchasing manager for United Distillers in Toronto .  Before that, he worked in various sales and marketing capacities for Consumers Glass, also of Toronto .

He received a bachelor�s degree in business administration from York University in Toronto .

In addition, Teles served as a past director of the Ontario chapter of the International Organization of Packaging Professionals.

Married and the father of three children, ages 17, 15 and 13, he and his wife, Maria, reside in the city of Toronto .
