Rob Belke has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing at Saxco International Inc., it was announced here by Herbert L. Sachs, president of Saxco International.

Belke moves up from his position of vice president and general manager for Saxco-Demptos, Louisville, Ky., a subsidiary of Saxco International.  Prior to the Saxco acquisition of Demptos Glass, Belke served as chief operating officer for the company.

Before that, he was employed as marketing manager for Vitro Packaging in Dallas, Texas.  He also previously served in various sales and marketing management positions for Anchor Glass in Tampa, Fla.

He is a graduate of Georgia Tech University where he received a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering.

In his new executive position for Saxco International, Belke will be directly responsible for the overall day-to-day sales and marketing functions for the worldwide packaging specialty company which provides services and global resources to a broad spectrum of national and international clients in the wine and spirits industry.
