Piedmont Distillers, Madison , NC , the only legal Distiller in North Carolina , and NASCAR driving legend Junior Johnson have joined forces and introduced the company�s second moonshine product, Junior Johnson�s Midnight Moon.  Johnson is now part owner of Piedmont Distillers.

To help rev up the all important packaging aspects for its newest Carolina moonshine, it engaged the services and global resources of Saxco International, Inc. of Horsham , PA , world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and spirit industry.  Junior Johnson�s Midnight Moon joins Piedmont �s other popular brand Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine.

Saxco International sourced and supplied a 750ML stocky flint bottle with round shoulders and short neck from Saverglass in France, one of its high caliber and reliable vendors in a vast global network.  Saverglass also screened on the attractive black and silver front and back labels.  Piedmont Distillers supplied the graphics for the labels and hand applied the silver and black neck band.

The packaging specialty company provided a clear tamper-evident PVC seal which outfitted the stopper.  It was sourced through Seal It, Inc. of Rochester , New York . Saxco additionally arranged for the manufacture of the six-bottle custom corrugated shipping cartons with screened on graphics through International Paper of Lexington, Kentucky.

�I am really proud to own part of this company,� says Johnson.  �I�ve done a lot of things in my life, and my history in the moonshine business is no secret.  Back in the old days, we learned to drive cars fast because we�d go to jail if we didn�t.  Now you can buy part of a moonshine business, tell everybody where you can buy the product and it�s all legal.  It�s a different deal then it was back then.�

Junior Johnson�s Midnight Moon follows the Johnson family�s generations old tradition of making moonshine.  Every batch is born in an authentic, copper still and is hand-crafted in small batches.  Midnight Moon is triple distilled to provide the highest quality, premium moonshine available.

The Piedmont Distillers office and manufacturing facility are located in Madison , NC (population 2000) in the town�s former train station built in 1915.  Junior Johnson�s Midnight Moon and Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine are the only legal moonshines made in the only legal distillery in the Carolinas .
