SAXCO INTERNATIONAL HELPS RJS SPIRITS CREATE AN UPBEAT, ENERGETIC PACKAGE DESIGN SOLUTION FOR ITS NEW RHYTHM CITRUS LIQUEUR

                                                                

            Rhythm, a smooth and unique tasting new citrus liqueur from RJS Spirits in Louisville , Kentucky , is being rolled out to drink enthusiasts in major markets across the United States .

             To help create a sophisticated, upbeat, energetic appearance commensurate with the new spirits� high quality and sweet smooth taste, as well as to deliver a distinctive bold shelf prominence, it engaged the services and broad global resources of Saxco International, Inc., of Horsham, PA, renowned for its long time world-wide packaging excellence for the wine and spirits industry.

            Saxco sourced and supplied a quality 750ML flint cylindrical bottle with a long neck from Owens-Illinois in Europe, one of the many first rate reliable vendors in its vast global resource network. In addition, the packaging specialists arranged to have the bottle�s attractive red and warm red decorative swirls silk screened on by Hanes Erie, Inc., of  Fairview , PA , another of its vendors. Hanes Erie also screened on the bright white 360-degree graphics featuring a large Rhythm �R� on the bottle�s back and a large Rhythm identification logo type and smaller �R� on its front. The bottle�s distinctive bold graphics were created by Jim White, president of Contagious Designs, of Louisville , Ky.

            Saxco also handled the application of the red PVC sleeve covering the bottle�s synthetic cork and neck. The red PVC sleeve is decorated with four white neck bands and the classic Rhythm �R�. The top also was decorated with a small red �R�. The PVC sleeve was completed by Maverick in Ukiah , CA , another long-time Saxco resource.

            Additionally, Saxco supplied the 12-bottle shipping cartons with dividers through International Paper in Lexington, Ky. International Paper also printed the attractive tri-color Rhythm graphics on the outside of the shipping containers. The graphics were emblazoned on in red, black and white.

            According to Stephen Herron, a co-founder of RJR Spirits, �Rhythm was two years in the making with extensive taste testing and market research behind its introduction. It�s a 70 proof spirit with 23 individual citrus flavors plus caffeine and taurine. It derives its sweet smooth taste from its unique blend of ingredients.�

            Herron also explains that Rhythm is well suited to be enjoyed straight up on the rocks or mixed as an tasty and zesty cocktail. He says RJS Spirits is targeting liqueur enthusiasts between the ages of 21 and 35 years of age and above with 65 percent being female. First introduced in the smaller Kentucky market-place, it is now being rolled out in major markets across the United States including, New York, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Missouri, and California. �Our marketing efforts are relying heavily on introducing Rhythm through a series of major special and celebrity events across the country,� Herron explains. �The initial reaction has been fantastic.�

            According to Jimmy Owens, new product manager for Saxco International, who worked closely with Herron on the new package design, �This project required the coordination of major resources, presented a very challenging time line and required that we adhere to strict economic parameters. �Because of our experience, our ability to move things forward and our wide range of global resources, we were able to complete the RJS Spirits� project with a high degree of excellence, on time and at the right price.�
