SAXCO INTERNATIONAL PLAYS INTEGRAL ROLE IN NEW PACKAGE DESIGN FOR McLAIN & KYNE, LTD.�S JEFFERSON�S PRESIDENTIAL SELECT PREMIUM BOURBON          

In the winter of 1991, Louisville, Kentucky �s renowned Stitzel-Weller Distillery closed its doors, ending production of some of history�s finest bourbons, however, 17 years later Trey Zoeller, president of McLain & Kyne, also of Louisville, stumbled upon a lost reserve of their aged premium wheat bourbon and is bringing it to the American marketplace as Jefferson �s Presidential Select.

            To help create a unique and attractive package design with an elegant eye appeal and a noticeable shelf appearance, it engaged the services of Saxco International, Inc., of Horsham , Pa. , world-wide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits industry. Utilizing its extensive global resource network, Saxco sourced and supplied a quality 750 ML flint bottle with a short neck, rounded shoulders and push-up bottom from Owens-Illinois (OI) Europe , one of its high caliber and reliable vendors.

            In addition, the packaging design specialty firm arranged for the gold and silver screen printing on the bottle�s front  through Stanpac, of Ontario , Canada , another of its fine sources. Saxco also provided the red pressure sensitive wax medallion embossed with the number 17 through Stoffel Seals in Tallapoosa , Georgia .

            Additionally, Saxco was responsible for the special pewter neck band which over-fitted the tax stripe covering the attractive wooden brown top cork closure. The neck band was completed by Applic Etains, of Angignac , France .  McLain & Kyne handled the closure and tax stripe through Tapi USA , of Pennsylvania , and MPI Printing, respectively. They also provided a pressure sensitive label with the individual bottle and batch number and aging information, which was affixed by hand to the front of the bottle.

            According to Zoeller, � Jefferson �s Presidential Select 94-proof, 17 year-old bourbon is truly a superlative spirit which more than lives up to the Stitzel-Weller legacy of exceptional quality with a smoothly balanced and sultry taste which is commensurate with its unparalleled craftsmanship. Zoeller also notes that Jefferson �s Presidential Select will be much sought after by bourbon connoisseurs, especially males 30 years-old and over. He says that it will be distributed in limited quantities in some 30 states throughout the United States through Castle Brands, Inc., of New York , NY .� Retail price for the premium bourbon is $99.99 for the 750 ML size.

             McLain & Kyne, Ltd. is known for its very small batch premium bourbons, all featuring a quality and integrity only found in handcrafted products.
