A NEW PRIVATE MOLD BOTTLE FOR ITS SANDS �TRULY BAHAMIAN� AND SANDS
LIGHT BEERS
When the Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Co, of According to Jerry Maya, regional sales manager for Saxco International, who worked closely with the 100% Bahamian brewery to source and develop a new bottle for its highly popular Sands beers, �The challenge was to come up with a new quality flint bottle with a lower cost that was distinctive in appearance, yet was environmentally friendly and offered other logistical advantages.�
With that in mind, Maya began his search through Saxco�s vast global
resource network and found that Anchor

Maya explains that the original supplier was based overseas which not only
created additional costs, but a host
of logistical problems as well. �Not only could Anchor Glass supply the
new bottle at a lower cost, but because of its �In addition,� he relates, �the new bottles are 100% recyclable which not only helps the environment, but generates additional income through the recycling process. The bottles were finished by the Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company with attractive pressure sensitive labels on the front and back, a foil wrapper on the neck and pry-off cap. Maya says that Saxco has begun the quest to source additional new private mold 330 ML bottles for the brewery�s Strong Back Stout and High Rock Lager beers. The Strong Back Stout will require a quality amber color bottle, while the High Rock Lager will need one in green.
According to Lynden Johnson, sales and marketing manager for the
Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company, �Sands Beer was first introduced
on December 15, 2007 on Grand Bahamas Island to quench the Bahamian thirst
for a beer with a definitive flair, that until then was missing in the
Johnson also says the company is targeting males and females 18 to 35
years in age to market its Sands beer and the same age demographic, with
more emphasis on females, for its Sands Light because of its lower calorie
count. �With our Sands Light brand, females can enjoy it and still keep

The Bahamian Brewery & Beverage Company, the Grand Bahamas newest
and only brewery, opened in 2007. Built on 20 acres, the 60,000 square foot
modern brewery was constructed by BREWTECH, a German Company which had
